About XtremIO

XtremIO was founded in 2009 based on a simple notion – that advances in non-volatile solid state memory (predominantly flash memory today) could be leveraged to bring entirely new capabilities to enterprise storage systems. Our belief is that performance improvements are only one aspect of many benefits that can be reaped by taking a ground-up approach to storage systems design freed from the limitations of hard disk drives.

XtremIO took an uncompromising approach when architecting our product. Rather than adapt existing designs to incorporate flash, XtremIO built a storage array that from day one was engineered to only use flash and to truly unleash its potential. While other all-flash products offer performance improvements, XtremIO takes performance to an entirely new level, while at the same time delivering unprecedented levels of scalability, efficiency, ease-of-use, and data management capabilities – at a competitive total cost of ownership.

XtremIO has already been recognized as one of the most promising and innovative start-ups, having been nominated as a Red Herring North America 100 Finalist for 2012.

Enterprise storage buyers have lived with complexity, limitations, and inflexibility for so long that they’ve come to accept them as normal. XtremIO does things so counter-intuitive that they seem impossible at first. But when the architecture and product are explained, it becomes apparent that storage will never be the same.

Today, XtremIO is undertaking field trials with large enterprise and service provider customers in the United States, Europe, and Israel. Our storage systems will be generally available later this year. If you would like to be considered to join our early access program, click below.
