Persistent Desktops

Persistent desktops are often preferable to non-persistent VDI designs.  However, they are complex and expensive to deploy because of the demands they place on storage.  XtremIO makes them not only feasible, but cost-effective and simple to deploy.

  • No boot storm issues.  XtremIO’s real-time deduplication not only reduces the VDI capacity footprint by up to 30:1, it makes boot storms a non-issue.  No external caching or acceleration solutions are needed.  VDI just runs fast – all the time, for both reads and writes.
  • Rapid Provisioning.   Clone desktop images instantaneously and without consuming additional space.  Hundreds of new desktops can be rolled out in minutes.
